A headshot is a lot like a virtual handshake. It’s someone’s first impression of you, and an opportunity to tell the world who you are in a split second. You can convey your personality through your expression, the clothes you wear, and how you accessorise. It’s a crucial asset for anyone in the professional world, and an important tool when it comes to marketing yourself.
To most people, the idea of having their headshot taken sounds about as fun as going to the dentist. You know you need to do it, but maybe you can just push it back… and back… and keep pushing it back until it’s been ten years. Well let’s stop procrastinating! This thing doesn’t have to be hard, or painful.
I’ve been photographing headshots in Canberra for my entire career, and I’ve nailed it down to three killer options that’ll suit just about anyone. Let’s have a look.
Timeless White
This is your industry-standard, seamless white backdrop, clean professional look. Perfect for your LinkedIn profile, and designed to drop onto a white webpage with ease. This is what I do the most.
Slick Grey
Literally the same as timeless white, but we leave the white wall behind you unlit. A little bit different, a little bit slick. For when you want to be a bit bolder.
Location
We can do this anywhere. Pop down to the park by your house, across the road from your office, or in the venue your team’s function is being held in. I’ll simply find a good background, pop up a light, and we’re on our way.

Anywhere! If you need me to come to you, that’s fine. My studio lighting setup is easy enough to pack up and carry just about anywhere. I’ve even got a white paper roll we can set up in your boardroom if necessary. Alternatively, you can come to my office.

How much does it cost?
Pricing starts at $330 for a quick and painless headshot session at my office or studio. This pricing covers all winning images from your session professionally retouched and delivered, available to download in highres for printing or individually in lowres optimised for social media and web. We’ll spend 15 minutes together, I’ll coach you through a few different poses and looks, you get a handful of crisp headshots. Bada bing, bada boom, done.
Do you offer discounts for groups?
Absolutely! In fact, the more people we get in one go, the cheaper this’ll be. Let me know numbers in your email, and I can give you a quote.
